The Lake Massasecum Improvement Association was established in 1920 with the specific object to provide a means by which property owners and other residents may organize their interest and direct their efforts toward the improvement of the property and general welfare of the people around the 410 acre lake.

Keeping the interests of the Lake Massasecum area before town government while seeing that proper police, fire and sanitation protection are provided was and still remains a current priority. The cooperation between the lake and the town has been outstanding and continues to grow as we work together to maintain the water quality, safety and quality of life in and around the lake. Promoting friendly and social interests of the members is also a priority.
